Hi Friends! Kelly and Sarah Joy here!

I like to start my notes to you as if we’re already in the middle of a conversation. I pretend that we’re the oldest and dearest friends – as opposed to what we actually are, people who don’t know each other’s names and met in a chatroom where we both claimed we’d never been before.

Just kidding.

Thaaaaat would be a quote from You’ve Got Mail – it’s our favorite movie, and a majorly solidifying part of our friendship. Maybe.

We met in 2009 at a church internship and ended up being roomies. Although we ended up living states apart for nearly a decade, we still remained close friends. Fast forward a few years, and we found ourselves living in the same city – helping each other renovate our houses, going on summer vacations together, and staying up all hours talking about everything under the sun.

One summer night while camping in the backyard (more on that later), we recorded a mock podcast episode. It was truly chaotic and hilarious, but it’s been a project we’ve been working toward ever since!

The Honesty Club is a place where we’ll hit hot topics and give our “honest takes.” Think of topics like adult peer pressure, wedding regrets, overcoming burnout, or getting over offense. We want to have a place to share your stories, laugh, and “speak the truth in love.” We believe there should always be the opportunity to think freely and ask questions about the hard or weird parts of life. And remember, it’s free to disagree!
